Location

From South and East (England, Carlisle, Scottish Borders)
From Dumfries, follow A75 to Glenluce bypass. Two miles further, turn left onto the B7084 and follow signposts to Drummore and the junction which joins the B7084 and the A716. At this junction turn left for Sandhead village, just before the entrance to Sandhead turn right up the hill onto the B7042 signposted to Portpatrick. Follow this road up and take the first road on the left, keep on this road and you will come to Balgreggan Mains with farm buildings on both sides of the road. Before the farm buildings, slip down to the right you will then see Gate Cottage on your right. There is a sign at the end of the road and at the cottage.

From North (Glasgow, Ayr, or ferry from Belfast)
Follow A77 through Stranraer and onto the A716. Continue on this road until you reach the entrance to Sandhead Village then follow directions as above.
